About Nantong University
NantongĀ UniversityĀ was founded in 1912. It originated from the privateĀ NantongĀ Medical Specialized School andĀ NantongĀ TextileĀ SpecializedĀ SchoolĀ founded by Zhang Jian, a famous modern industrialist and educator. In 2004, the formerĀ NantongĀ MedicalĀ College,Ā Nantong Institute of TechnologyĀ andĀ NantongĀ NormalĀ CollegeĀ merged to form a newĀ NantongĀ University. InĀ ChinaĀ UniversityĀ Evaluation 2024Ā of the China Academy of Management Science,Ā NantongĀ UniversityĀ ranked 100th. In ESI Comprehensive ranking of Chinese universities, it ranked 113th.Ā
