Civil Aviation University of China (CAUC), under the direct administration of Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC), is a higher education institution aiming to train students into senior engineering technicians andmanagement personnel. It was co-established by Civil Aviation Administration of China, Tianjin Municipal Government, and Ministry of Education in 1951.
Back in September 1951, CAUC was founded as No.2 Civil Aviation School that was administered directly by the Civil Aviation Administration of Central Military Commission of China, with the first president Fang Huai appointed by Chairman Mao Zedong and the location chosen by former Premier Zhou Enlai.
